This training course provides a comprehensive overview of Royal Purple® Duralec® Super Diesel Motor Oil. It is designed to educate installer teams, service managers, service technicians, and end users on the product’s formulation, performance advantages, and proper application in modern diesel engines.

You will learn both the scientific foundation behind the product and practical strategies for maximizing its benefits in real-world use. This knowledge will enable you to clearly explain to your diesel engine customers the protection, performance, and long-term value that Duralec Super delivers.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the formulation — Explain what makes Duralec Super unique, including its synthetic base stocks, advanced additive chemistry, and formulation tailored for emissions-compliant diesel engines.

• Recognize key performance benefits — Identify how the oil delivers superior wear protection, improved fuel economy, enhanced corrosion resistance, and superior engine cleanliness.

• Assess compatibility — Determine when and where Duralec® Super is appropriate, particularly for diesel engines equipped with emissions systems such as DPF, SCR, and EGR, and operating on ultra-low sulfur diesel.

• Apply OEM and industry specifications — Interpret the oil’s certifications and approvals (e.g., API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 Plus; ACEA standards; and applicable OEM requirements) and correctly match them to vehicle or engine needs.

• Optimize maintenance practices — Establish best practices for drain intervals, cold-start protection, and transitioning from other diesel engine oils.

• Troubleshoot and evaluate performance — Apply real-world scenarios (such as high-mileage fleet vehicles, intermittent operation, or severe-duty use) to anticipate oil performance and set realistic expectations for results.
